Sarah Wright is a registered clinical psychologist and psychodynamic psychotherapist practicing in Spring Hill, Queensland.
In therapy, I focus on fostering a meaningful connection with my patients that serves as the foundation for our work together. I believe that psychotherapy is both a medium for moving through difficulty and a process of enlivening transformation. As such, I seek to create a space that encourages my patients to express themselves freely and openly. I find that when we are able to let ourselves drift into the deepest parts of our mind, we often discover the creativity, vitality, and essence that can propel us forward.

I work within a psychodynamic framework, primarily drawing from relational psychoanalysis and self psychology, but am also informed by somatic and humanistic therapies. I understand that psychotherapy is different for each patient, and is a process that requires time, care, and commitment. The type of psychotherapy I offer tends to be long-term, however, I recognise that this may not be viable in some circumstances, so can also accommodate a shorter term focus.
Many of the patients I see come from marginalised or disadvantaged backgrounds, but in general, I find that my approach appeals to anyone who wishes to better understand themselves and their experiences.
